Diagnostics
A diagnostic is not a handful of random questions. Cognifiy works across the syllabus to build a mastery estimate per area, then tells you which of those estimates it is least sure about.
Your learning model
Every answer contributes to a changing picture of what you know. Cognifiy uses that picture to decide what deserves your attention next.
Mastery is an estimate, not a grade. It rises with consistent, unaided work and decays when a skill goes untouched, and Cognifiy shows how much evidence sits behind each number so you can tell a firm result from a provisional one.

Cognifiy uses patterns in your work to distinguish between gaps in understanding and recurring execution mistakes, helping practice target the underlying problem. It classifies what your answers show — it does not claim to read your mind, and a pattern needs to repeat before it changes what you are asked to do.
Learn
When a gap comes from not understanding the idea, more questions will not fix it. Learn opens with the concept, shows it working, then checks whether the explanation actually landed.
A lesson is assembled around the gap Cognifiy found, so a student who is nearly there gets a short recap while a student starting from scratch gets the full build-up. Only once the check passes does it hand you over to practice.
The idea
Changing what goes inside the bracket moves the graph sideways. Changing what is added outside moves it up or down.
Practice
Practice should change when your understanding changes. Cognifiy chooses the next question from what you have shown so far — the skill, the kind of mistake you made, and how much support you needed to get there.
That means a run is not a staircase. A shaky answer can bring back a guided step, a clean one can move you to an unaided question, and a repeated slip can pull in repair practice aimed squarely at that slip.

It starts with a diagnostic that moves across the syllabus rather than one topic, adjusting difficulty as it goes so it spends time where your result is least certain. After that, every answer you give adds evidence. Cognifiy tracks mastery per skill, looks at whether errors repeat, and checks whether a struggling topic is actually caused by a prerequisite further back in the course.
Yes, in specific places: generating practice questions, producing explanations, classifying the type of mistake in your work, and ranking what to recommend next. Cognifiy is not a chatbot wrapper. The core of the product is a mastery model built from your answers, and the curriculum structure it works against comes from real syllabus data rather than being improvised in a conversation.
Cognifiy is pre-launch, so every course is currently marked coming soon. Mathematics is first in line: IB Diploma Mathematics Analysis and Approaches, IB Diploma Mathematics Applications and Interpretation, SAT Mathematics, and IB MYP Mathematics. Behind those sit the DP sciences, economics, business management, psychology, English and SAT Reading and Writing. Each course opens only once its diagnostics, lessons and practice are mapped, rather than launching with incomplete content.
IB students are who Cognifiy is being built for first, though no course is open yet. IB Diploma Mathematics Analysis and Approaches and Applications and Interpretation are mapped at syllabus-domain level, covering number and algebra, functions, geometry and trigonometry, statistics and probability, and calculus, at both SL and HL. IB MYP Mathematics is mapped too, so earlier gaps that resurface in the Diploma can be caught. Other IB subjects are further back in the queue.
SAT Mathematics is the most finely mapped course in Cognifiy, though it is not open yet. It covers Algebra, Advanced Math, Problem-Solving and Data Analysis, and Geometry and Trigonometry, broken down to individual skills such as factoring, the quadratic formula and completing the square. SAT Reading and Writing is mapped in the curriculum but sits further back in the build queue.

Two plans are planned: Cognifiy Free, covering the initial diagnostic, your dashboard and recommended next actions, lessons in Learn, and basic readiness and error-pattern views; and Cognifiy Pro, which raises the monthly session limits and adds detailed readiness, prediction history and the full error-pattern breakdown. Pricing will be published before launch rather than announced here in advance.
